I've begun writing my autobiography, it started on January 31st after my sister passed away the previous day. It is now February 13th and I'm on chapter 18, 2/3 of the way done. My mind is racing and I can barely type as fast as the story is presenting itself to me. I'm going to title it hanging on by a thread. And here is my hook... My parents were pleased, I was born into the world a white healthy male. What could be better than this? As a white male I was given a backpack of privilege, unaware that I even had it. As I went through life things fell apart, I didn't know I had this privilege until it was gone.

That was us twenty three years ago. The little baby I'm holding hands with is now a stonemason and a part-time firefighter. The one in the middle is a mechanic and a part-time firefighter, and the little girl on my knees is now a kindergarten teacher with two little boys of her own. I am so glad that they are back in my life and that we are figuring out how to have a transgender father / grandfather.

Finally, I have a website again. Firstly, thank you to everyone for your support over the years. I know it's been a while since I've updated my social media, but here it is and I hope you'll find it interesting. I have some happy news to share with everyone, I'm now reconnected with four of my children and six of my grandchildren. My kids call me "Dad", their spouses call me "Stefonknee", and my grandchildren call me "Opa", I'm hoping that someday they'll call me "Oma".
